About Mrs Lewis' Decorating Company
Since launching Mrs Lewis' Decorating Company in 2017 I am very proud to have built up a trustworthy reputation in my home town of Matlock in Derbyshire.
Through dedication, integrity and sheer hard work I am committed to providing a friendly, reliable, customer focused and a professional decorating experience for all of my clients.
I am very proud to be a Dulux Select Decorator and to have won awards at the 2021 and 2022 Dulux Select Decorator Awards. I have also been recognised as the winner of Dulux Academy's Design and Decorate Challenge for 2019 which has been featured in the Trade Decorator and the Matlock Mercury.
When I'm not decorating I love to spend time exploring our lovely countryside with my family: Jon (Matlock's local Physiotherapist), Jake, Finn and Molly the dog.
From the initial meeting through to the finishing touches, my clients receive a clear quotation and timeline, a friendly and dependable service and excellent guidance throughout the entire decorating process.

Understanding my client's full decorating requirements is one of the most important aspects of my work. I take the time to assist and advise you in choosing and ordering your materials for a hassle free process. Ensuring your project runs as smoothly as possible.
The Mirka dustless sanding system enables me to work safely and efficiently with virtually no dust, creating a safer and cleaner working and home environment. Especially perfect for those clients with allergies/asthma.
My true passion is to hang wallpaper! I especially love working with quality wallcoverings from William Morris, Graham & Brown, Cole & Sons and Farrow & Ball, to name a few.
Murals can really transform a room, whether it's your living room, a child's bedroom or an office or salon reception area. Any image you desire can be digitalised and made into a mural for a truly bespoke creation for any space.
I can scan any solid colour and quickly and accurately find the closest colour match using the Dulux Trade Colour Sensor app.

Nicola was very professional from giving us a quote, keeping us informed of her availability to come and do the decorating. She came to look at the job when she said she would and she came to start on the day she arranged and let me know what time she would arrive so that we could social distance. Nicola's work and professional approach was of a very high standard she talked over any problems and gave very good advice.I would not hesitate to have her come and do some more work for me and I would definitely recommend her to other people. We cant recommend Nicola enough. She did a great job on our hall, landing and stairs. Very professional. Great finish. She put up with my indecisiveness, and was always patient and keen to talk things through. She was great to have around the house, and as a mum with 2 small kids this is important to me.

Nicola has done a brilliant job for us wallpapering our 1920's front room. She was very professional, clean and tidy and a pleasure to have around. She is an outstanding paper hanger and I would highly recommend her.
Nicola did some decorating for us last year, in our daughter's bedroom, the landing, stairs, hallway & living room. It was a big job, there was a lot of painting & hanging wallpaper! 🙂 The quality of her work was second to none. She was friendly, polite & on-time each day. We've paid people before to do some decorating for us, and nothing was close to Nicola's work.. it was excellent! I still love to look at how our home looks & feels, and I'm so happy that we paid a professional to do such a fantastic job! Forever happy & grateful, would definitely recommend!

Nicola has just completed decorating our kitchen, dining and living room, hall stairs and landing plus my sons bedroom. She was not known to us but after our first meeting my husband and I felt that she was a very nice trustworthy person who we felt comfortable about leaving alone in our home during the day. Her work is excellent. She is very tidy and conscientious and takes great care with the preparation to ensure that the overall finish is of a very high standard. We have booked her to come back in September to finish the remaining rooms it was a pleasure to have her in our home and would have no hesitation in recommending her for any decorating work.
We had previously selected Nicola from the recommendation of a neighbour and were more than satisfied to have her complete 3 more rooms - dining room, bedroom and sitting room. She is extremely thorough and professional, and exceptionally clean and tidy in the way she works - the addition of a new piece of sanding kit means the work area is always dust free. Singing along to radio 2 is a new departure, demonstration of her ability to take on new skills! Great to have her around the house and her advice re colours and differing options is always spot on - this was particularly useful with the problems we encountered in the dining room. Although we've more or less finished the redecorating in our current house we won't hesitate to use her in our future accommodation.
